SUP tour through Georgia's protected mountain lake, surrounded by Caucasian forests. Spot eagles, breathe alpine air, discover untouched nature 60km south of Tbilisi.
Algeti Reservoir sits at the heart of Algeti National Park, surrounded by dense Caucasian spruce and fir forests—the southernmost distribution of these rare conifers in the world. The 6,800-hectare park protects untouched wilderness just 60km from Tbilisi, making it a hidden gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
Right next to Algeti lies Birtvisi Canyon — one of the most spectacular and popular destinations in Georgia. Ancient cave fortresses carved into sheer cliffsides, dramatic rock formations, and hidden gorges make it a must-visit for any explorer. The same iconic rocks that tower over Birtvisi continue into the reservoir itself: unique stone formations rising from the water that you can paddle right up to and touch. It's a landscape you won't find anywhere else.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced paddler, Algeti offers calm waters ideal for learning, while the surrounding trails and viewpoints make it perfect for exploring beyond the water. It's a complete adventure destination just 2 hours from the city.

Absolutely! Algeti's calm waters are perfect for first-time paddlers. We provide full safety briefing, equipment fitting, and instruction before you hit the water. Our guides are experienced with all skill levels.
You'll spend 2 hours paddling on the water. The pace is leisurely with breaks for photos, swimming, and nature spotting. It's not a race—it's about enjoying the experience.
Algeti is a mountain lake, so water temperature ranges from 15–18°C (May–June) to 18–22°C (July–August). It's refreshing but very swimmable. Bring a wetsuit if you're sensitive to cold.
The park is home to eagles, deer, and occasionally bears (though bears keep their distance). You'll almost certainly see birds and enjoy the sounds of nature. Early morning tours have higher wildlife spotting chances.
We monitor weather closely. Tours are rescheduled if conditions are unsafe. In case of light rain, we typically proceed—it's part of the adventure! For severe weather, we offer a full refund or rescheduling.
