Paddle Georgia's second-highest lake at 2,073m. Alpine flowers, crystal mountain waters, breathtaking views of the Trialeiti Range — all from your board at 2,073m.
Paravani is Georgia's second-highest lake at 2,073 meters elevation, nestled in the Trialeiti Mountains. It's one of Europe's most accessible high-altitude SUP destinations—reaching true alpine paddling without technical mountaineering.
The lake is surrounded by rare alpine plants, wildflowers, and diverse bird species. Summer wildflowers paint the meadows gold and purple. The water is pristine, cold (12–15°C even in July), and incredibly clear—you can see 15+ meters down.
This tour suits experienced or intermediate paddlers. The altitude provides a unique challenge and reward. Views of the surrounding peaks are breathtaking, and the solitude is unmatched compared to lower lakes.

Yes — the active Poka Nunnery of St. Nino sits right on the lakeshore. Its icons are made from Venetian golden mosaic, a rare technique revived here after decades. If you'd like to include a stop, just mention it when booking and we'll build it into the schedule.
Most visitors acclimate well. Our guide monitors you, we start early, and ascent is gradual. We provide oxygen if needed (rarely required). Those with severe altitude issues can skip paddling and enjoy the scenery.
12–18°C depending on the season. It's cold but refreshing — most guests happily swim, especially in July–August.
It's better for intermediate+ paddlers. The altitude adds challenge, but calm waters help. Talk to us first if you're beginner-level.
